Lakewood Hills was established in 1963 as a city-country acreage residential community. With wooded hills, running creeks, rolling meadows, and green valleys, it is a natural, scenic, and rustic area that has been enhanced by extensive plantings of blooming shrubs and flowering trees. Additionally, there are lakes for swimming and fishing, landscaped and wildwood parkways, and community gardens. Tucked in the northeast corner of the Ozark Plateau, Lakewood Hills is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary.
